"Intimista e soffuso, sarebbe facile bollarlo come l'ennesimo epigono di Nick Drake. In realtà le bellissime canzoni di Sternberg poco hanno a che vedere con quelle di Drake. Se è vero che i toni sono perennemente smussati e tenui, è anche vero che i brani sono permeati da un'aurea sognante e misteriosa che le sposta quasi verso la psichedelia, anche se il termine non è affatto esatto; siamo piuttosto in una sorta di visione lynchiana, coi testi semplicissimi che uniti alle musiche acquistano una profondità e una forza incredibile, un po' come alcuni banali ma al contempo inquietanti dialoghi dei film di Lynch.

Le melodie sono spesso eteree alla maniera di un Tom Yorke, mentre le musiche vivono sorrette da una chitarra acustica, dal piano, dall'organo.
Tutto ciò non basterebbe se non fosse che anche la scrittura è ottima: una ballata stupenda come With You, la piena e fluente Willow Tree, The End is Now e tutte le altre, non sono canzoni che s'incontrano ogni giorno e lasciarsene conquistare è un piacere incontestabile."
